They are very clever and use their wit to their own benefit, lol.
And I totally sympathize with you re. backing of the trailer. That is difficult stuff!
Sounds like a good assesment of the horses, and a nice way to start the work.
I am looking forward to hear how it goes!HorseOfCoursehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15907659164579327290noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806296642977794691.post-77089033332690359702009-04-10T09:48:00.000-04:002009-04-10T09:48:00.000-04:00RuckusButt, thanks for dropping by. Like you said, they are buggers...clever little buggers. I usually tie him with a slip not, then do 5 or 6 extra loops in the rope, and even if I lock the last loop, I'll find he's got most of the rope unlooped in a few minutes. I need cross ties in my barn.Once Upon an Equinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08807098276875052982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806296642977794691.post-87627790014695778312009-04-09T23:53:00.000-04:002009-04-09T23:53:00.000-04:00Holy cow! Your description of Marley nibbling on the lead rope made me cringe and laugh at the same time because in a few short weeks I can't say how many times I've caught Edgar at that! Ok, I have to read the rest of your post now...RuckusButthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14760056031442317243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806296642977794691.post-69788411166024517872009-04-09T21:59:00.000-04:002009-04-09T21:59:00.000-04:00jc, cute Fjords posted on your blog.NuzMuz, Intere...jc, cute Fjords posted on your blog.

NuzMuz, Interesting about not wanting to ride in the trailer again. Misty hasn't been trailered much and she's still nervous about it.

GreyHorse, I learn a lot at this clinic, and will get plenty of trailer parking practice.

dazey, I do hope to trail ride this summer. I just purchased that trail riding book a week ago. It is a small paperback narrative with instructions to help recreational riders who keep horses at home. Nuzzling Muzzles has reviewed this book and it is available at Amazon.com and at safetrailhorse@gmail.comdazeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11214815045327798879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806296642977794691.post-7323851271292528482009-04-09T18:41:00.000-04:002009-04-09T18:41:00.000-04:00Glad you enjoyed the clinic, I always like to get ...Glad you enjoyed the clinic, I always like to get other people's input too.
You know I think people are just rude. They certainly could have moved their cars and made it easier for you instead of standing there judging the maneuvers with their hands on their hips.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806296642977794691.post-27163086717112038862009-04-09T17:07:00.000-04:002009-04-09T17:07:00.000-04:00I know that sometimes horses are willing to get in...I know that sometimes horses are willing to get into the trailer to go somewhere, but not always willing to get in to go home. I don't think it is that they don't want to go home. I suspect it's that they didn't like the ride that is fresh in their memory. Backing up trailers is so hard. I always panic when people start parking too close to me.Nuzzling Muzzleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649710635013663900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806296642977794691.post-81620665624851356412009-04-09T08:36:00.000-04:002009-04-09T08:36:00.000-04:00The Norwegian photos are now on Major's website! ...The Norwegian photos are now on Major's website!
