Misty's Monday Muse - Termites

Psssst.
I have a secret.

I hear we have a termite problem in our barn.
They say it is one really big termite.

I know nothing about it.

  2. You just never know what you can encounter in barns these days. We've been bombarded with beavers. Yes, they chew a lot too!

  5. Feralwoman...tee hee! maybe if she gambled she could win some money to cover her repairs. She's a smart mare, I wish I could put her to work with her own barn-based business, like making wood sculptures.

juliette, much cuter than the traditional termite, and in good company with your boys.

GreyHorse, Beavers?! Yikes. Love to see their work in the wild, but not at the barn.

Jeni, destructive yes. We have a lot of the metal strips covering the support beams & edges in and in outside of the stalls. But Misty is tall enough to reach the few placed not protected. I have to be more diligent at applying the crib stop stuff. It works well if I used enough and am consistent.

  6. OMG! You had me so scared! We've had some flying ants around here and as soon as I read your post I was worried that they were termites - not ants!
    Cute picture and post!!
