Good Morning

This morning is too beautiful to feed Misty & Marley in their stalls. I've scattered their breakfast hay outside so they'll get a little exercise while dining.

It's going to be a lovely day.
Sigh
....I wish I didn't have to go into the office.

Alas, Misty & Marley like to eat; therefore I go into the office.

  1. Looks very tranquil with the hay bales in the fields behind, the sun coming up through the clouds behind... Nice.

  4. RMS, aurora, JeniQ, I was an hour late getting to work this morning; it was just too nice outside. It was very peaceful and tranquil, until Marley decided to fight over the hay even though there was plenty all around. He wheeled around and kicked Misty with both barrels and she turned and kicked back. Then they settled back down to sharing the same pile. Always some drama with horses.

I understand that you were late for work ;-)
It is not easy to leave on a morning like that.

  7. juliette, I love the sunrises and sunsets on the prairie. You are right, they are the prettiest time of day.

HorseOfCourse, good thing I have somewhat flexible hours. Late to work usually means late getting home. But it was worth it.

  8. A beautiful morning picture. The weather has been so nice here some of the horse absolutely refuse to come in at night and prefer to dine under the stars.

  11. Thanks for commenting on my morning picture. GreyHorse, September has been a wonderful month so far with comfortable temps and good riding weather.

HorseCrazed, yep, that's why I was late for work.

allhorsestuff, keep dreaming and planning and working toward your goal. It took me nearly 50 years to get horses at home, and a lot of that time was apartment living with no horses. It's worth the wait.

Been a busy week/weekend with the nice weather. I've been trying to get out and ride as often as I can.

  12. Yup, I think I'd have a hard time going to work with a view like that too!!

    What a beautiful picture!!

I'd give anything in the world to have my boy at home where I could sit out on a porch and watch him in the pasture.

    Thank you for sharing :)

  13. You are lucky. The weather here in the North of Scotland has rained so much lately. I think we have seen the last of the summer for this year.
