Equine Minded Goals

Whew! The holidays are behind us and life is getting back to normal.

Happy New Year Everyone!

I have some goals in mind for Misty, Marley, and Myself for the year 2010.

With Misty, I would like to attend a horsemanship clinic and a trail riding clinic. And of course, do more riding and get out on more trails.

With Marley, I would like to be able to drive him around the neighborhood by myself and attend some driving clinics and/or pleasure drives with other driving enthusiasts.

What are your goals for the new year?
(Please point us to your blog if you've already posted them).

  4. Your goals sound exciting, Once Upon! I hope you get photos of your trail rides on Misty and your jaunt around the neighborhood with Marley.
I hope to ride Pie this summer without a bridle. That is a pretty big goal, so I am ok with it if we have to wait a few years.

  6. I am going to get off my rear and remind Spin he knows how to ride and drive. I am going to teach Willow that riding(and driving) is fun. I am going to teach Lacey to drive since I think she is too small for me to ride. She is 14.3 but she is not a Fjord! That should take most of the summer.
    Beyond that, we shall see.

  7. My only resolution is to live life to it's fullest and not stress over things that I can't control to begin with.

I lost so much in 2009 that I want 2010 to be one big exhale, eyes closed, feeling my way through life very relaxed from the back of one my horses.

I don't really set goals per se, but the one thing I want to accomplish more than anything else is to ride Koda.

  11. Great goals Kate.

Grey Mare & HOC, always a good goal to enjoy our horses. That's what it is all about.

juliette..without a bridal? Do you mean in a halter or completely naked on the face? That would be ambitious for me, but you can do it.

achieve1, thanks, I need to get back in the cart soon if I'm going to reach my driving goals. Good luck with your goals.

phaedra86...ha! Getting off one's rear is the first step. I need to do that. Good luck with Spin & Willow. What breed is Lacey?

JeniQ, I hope 2010 is a much better year for you.

SlaveDriver, thanks! I enjoy reading about your adventures giving rides to the public.

Thanks Aurora. I hope you get to ride Koda.
