This looks so AWSUM. I am watching each picture to see how I can duplicate those training trails at my place! You will have so much fun there and learn so much. I get all spine tingly thinking about how cool that school is. Good luck!
Wow Misty, that looks like some pretty neat stuff. Some of it's a bit strange for a horse to do but I bet you will be great at it! Just listen to your lady ;) Have fun - and report back!
Oooh! I'm so jealous, Misty! These are the kinds of obstacles that Apache and I really enjoy doing together. I love all the platforms, walkways and stairs. Apache and I would be all over those together!
Have fun and tell us all about it after you get back!
Thanks All. The course was designed by a retired police officer who was head trainer for a mounted police patrol. I think a lot of it is based on his experience riding police horses in the city. It will be interesting to see what Misty thinks of it. She's pretty good with short bridges, but hasn't been up many stairs with those big feet of hers.
I've loved horses all my life and owned several when I was younger. I showed in English Pleasure and Amateur Hunters in my 20s. Now in my 50s, following a long absence of horses, I've rekindled my passion. I have three equines at home - Misty, a Percheron mare, Lyra a mini horse and her daughter, Lola, a mini mule. We're an odd looking group, but we get along great.
Misty, that looks like a lot of fun! I bet you'll have a great time.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is some trail course. Looks like fun!! Looking forward to hearing about it.
ReplyDeleteOh, Misty, can I come with you? It looks like so much fun! Take lots of notes - you can tell me all about it.

Misty you're already a classy lady. Hope you enjoy finishing school, it should be lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteOh Misty that looks like LOADS of fun!!! Nothing like the school I remember.
ReplyDeleteHow fun is that! You'll do great! Now my mom has some ideas she plans to incorporate into my own trail training!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and have fun,
Gabe
