They are good workers and get lots of breaks and snacks. It is a tough job, but you are right, it has to be done. And yes, the barn would blow away in all our wind without these 2 holding it in place. I smile whenever I drive by our property and see them like this. It is one of their favorite tasks.
cute pic, sweet ponies! i just found you from your comment about red maples and you sound a lot like me so i thought i would hop over and visit. that slab fracture is awful! poor thing. i had a root canal and it was torturous. i cannot imagine her pain and i am sure she feels better know. i am giving away a white flower farm gift certificate if you and solve the mystery of who is buttercup...i sure hope you come over! you will like my ponies! :)
I've loved horses all my life and owned several when I was younger. I showed in English Pleasure and Amateur Hunters in my 20s. Now in my 50s, following a long absence of horses, I've rekindled my passion. I have three equines at home - Misty, a Percheron mare, Lyra a mini horse and her daughter, Lola, a mini mule. We're an odd looking group, but we get along great.
I hope you supply the workers with breaks and snacks!
ReplyDeleteTough job, but someone's got to do it.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know, if they weren't holding it, your barn might come sailing my way! It seems the wind is strong enough, right?
ReplyDeleteLOL, they do look quite serious about their work.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture. They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteWell it's a thankless job but someone's got to do it. They need a union to get some benefits for their hard work.
ReplyDeleteYour barn and place is beautiful from what I see in the pictures.
Hilarious!! That's a wonderful picture.
ReplyDeleteGood one!
ReplyDeleteIt's serious business don'tcha know.
