Dreaming, SaraJane is the shadow. She follows Misty around constantly, mimicking everything she does. SaraJane is one of those velcro ponies. She likes to attach herself to people too. She's a sweetie.
EvenSong, you're right - a reflection and another example of SaraJane copying Misty. She doesn't like to be very far away from her buddy. I get a kick out of watching them together.
Those photos are so cute! I am sorry I am behind in my blog reading (stupid graduate school) is this a new horse? I love all the dapples between the two of them :)
Thanks Grey Horse. They are like a pair of bookends.
Golden, you have been busy with your grad work and travels. No worries. I fall behind on blog reading all the time. So many blogs, so little time. SaraJane belongs to a rescue and is up for adoption. We are fostering her until she finds her forever home, or until she goes back to the rescue for more training. They will probably start her saddle training this summer.
So perfect. SaraJane is just adorable and so happy to have Misty and you to take care of her. She really makes me laugh and my heart fills thinking of the home you gave her and her mirroring habits. She thinks she is in heaven.
I've loved horses all my life and owned several when I was younger. I showed in English Pleasure and Amateur Hunters in my 20s. Now in my 50s, following a long absence of horses, I've rekindled my passion. I have three equines at home - Misty, a Percheron mare, Lyra a mini horse and her daughter, Lola, a mini mule. We're an odd looking group, but we get along great.
Awwww!
ReplyDeleteSo... which one is the shadow?
Cute! But the fifth one looks more like a reflection...
